There are currently restrictions on visiting aged-care facilities due to coronavirus. While volunteers continue to connect with residents, we have paused interviewing new volunteers until after restrictions have been lifted. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer Community Visitor, please email us using the address below to express your interest.
The Community Visitors Scheme (CVS) is a Federal Government initiative designed to establish links between people who are living in an aged care facility and their local community. It’s a program Lifeline Northern Beaches is proud to be part of, and a great opportunity to create connections with older community members.
Through this scheme, Lifeline volunteers are currently visiting isolated people in 16 Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACFs) from Mosman to Seaforth to Collaroy, every fortnight. Our volunteers provide company and companionship for these residents; listening to their stories and experiences, and often forging genuine friendships.
If you have a spare hour once a fortnight, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re always looking for new volunteers to join us, as the more people we have, the more residents we can help.
Drop us a line on (02) 9949-5522 or email our Program Coordinator Lyndall Calcraft at email@example.com
The Coordinator is available 9am-4pm Monday to Wednesday. If you call outside these times, please leave a message and we will get back to you.
