Someone who cares
A Face-To-Face Counsellor is someone who cares, and someone who is experienced in helping people just like you, with issues just like the ones that may be troubling you right now.
Whatever the problems and challenges you are facing, Face-To-Face Counselling gives you an opportunity to discuss your situation – in total confidence – with a qualified and experienced counsellor.
Let us help you
At Lifeline Northern Beaches we have more than two dozen trained Counsellors available for specialised, face-to-face counselling sessions.
Our counsellors have a range of qualifications and experience, enabling them to help people from a wide variety of backgrounds. If you come to us for help, we will assign you the counsellor best suited to you and your situation.
Our counselling services operate from our Balgowlah centre, both during and after business hours, daytime, evenings and weekends.
What is a Face-To-Face Counsellor
A Face-To-Face Counsellor is someone trained to listen, to talk things through, and to help you identify a way forward…
A counsellor is not the same as a psychiatrist, psychologist or psychotherapist, although some counsellors may be qualified in these areas
Fundamental to the counselling experience is the confidential, safe and supporting atmosphere of the counselling session.
The counsellor is not judgmental – he or she is there to help you find the best way to manage your situation.
What kind of support do counsellors give?
Support may involve working with you to develop the behaviour patterns, skills, tools and techniques that will help you address your current crisis or issues. Or it may involve connecting you with specialist resources elsewhere – either elsewhere within the Lifeline organisation, or within the community.
