New Mums support group

Becoming a parent is one of the hugest transitions any person can make, and it’s not always easy. Having a baby means adjusting to a whole new life, and it can come with a fair few challenges.

New Mums support group

Becoming a parent is one of the hugest transitions any person can make, and it’s not always easy. Having a baby means adjusting to a whole new life, and it can come with a fair few challenges. At Lifeline Northern beaches, we’ve established the New Mums support group to help you through this time, maintaining the health, happiness and wellbeing of your family and yourself!

Adjusting to a new life

By participating in our support group, you can share your challenges and experiences with other new mums who understand what you’re going through – and importantly, you’ll receive valuable advice and learn positive skills to negotiate these challenges.

Topics we cover

We talk about a whole range of parenting-related topics, including:

  • What to expect from your new identity as a family, not a couple or single person
  • The emotional rollercoaster in the early days
  • Keeping both parents involved
  • Staying connected to your partners
  • Your child’s wellbeing
  • Supporting your child’s development through love, nurturing and play

This group is run over a eight-week period, enabling group members to build genuine relationships with a constant group of other mums.

When: Tuesday 10:30am to 11:30am
Where: Kirribilli Neighbourhood Centre
Duration: 8 weeks (Booking Essential)
