Sponsorship is a creative way that you can ensure your donation is applied to a specific, identifiable purpose.
Sponsor a Lifeline student, service, or event – it’s easy!
Everyone can be a sponsor - you don’t have to be a business or an organisation! For example, sponsoring the training of a new Lifeline Telephone Crisis Support Student is a popular way to make a sponsorship donation.
But there are a whole range of possible Lifeline Northern Beaches sponsorship options, from as little as a couple of hundred dollars upwards.

Sponsor the training of a Lifeline Telephone Crisis Supporter
To train a new telephone crisis supporter costs approximately $2,500. Lifeline Northern Beaches currently has approximately 150 TCSs on our books and is answering more than 30,000 calls a year
But in fact we need at least 200 TCSs to be able to respond to calls 24/7 with a resource of between 2 (the minimum) and 5 TCSs per shift.
All our TCSs are unpaid volunteers. Your sponsorship can help provide the necessary recruitment, training, supervision, equipment, reference manuals and professional support for the training of a new Telephone Crisis Supporter.
It takes a year to fully train and accredit a TCS student. Following training, each new Telephone Crisis Supporter volunteers an average of 4 to 6 hours per fortnight.
Financially sponsoring the cost of a new Telephone Crisis Supporter is one of the best ways you can ensure that your donation helps Lifeline Northern Beaches to continue to answer calls for help when they are most needed.
